Come Read With Me was a pioneering educational program in Euless, Texas, dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through reading, math, life skills, technology, and creative expression, the program opened doors to learning and personal growth for countless students across the DFW area.
Now fully absorbed into The Clubhouse for Special Needs, the program’s legacy continues to live on, its approach and spirit are woven into the daily activities and mission of The Clubhouse, enriching the experiences of teens and young adults with special needs.

A Visionary Leader: Martha Kate
Martha Kate, the program’s founder and executive director, brought passion, creativity, and dedication to Come Read With Me. With a background in teaching and special education, she emphasized learning through movement, music, dance, and hands-on activities—ensuring that education was both meaningful and engaging.
Her leadership not only guided the students’ growth but also helped establish Come Read With Me as a model for lifelong learning programs for adults with developmental differences.
